Classifications Tab – Failures Module

The Classifications tab lists specific classifications commonly associated with this type of failure. When the Failure module lookup is used to select a failure for a work order, a filter is available to limit the results to those failures specified for the classification associated with the work order. Listing a classification on this page ensures that this failure displays if the user enables that option on the Failures module lookup.

Note:

Failures can be associated with classification records from the Failures module (this page) or the Classifications module (Failures page).

The Classification List displays the classification name, ID (in parenthesis), and parent location.

ClosedAdd an Asset Classification

To add an asset classification to the list:

  1. Click the Add button.

    The Classification lookup opens.

  2. Locate and select the desired classification.

    The selected classification is added to the My Selection(s) area at the bottom of the lookup.

  3. Continue to select any additional classifications desired.

  4. Click the Apply button.

    The Classification lookup closes, and the new classification records are added to the Classifications List.

  5. Click the Save button.

    Your changes are saved.

ClosedRemove an Asset Classification

To remove a classification record associated with this failure:

  1. Click the check box to the left of the classification record you want to remove.

    A check mark appears, indicating the record has been selected.

  2. Continue to select any additional records you want to remove.

  3. Click the Remove button.

    The classification records are removed.

  4. Click the Save button.

    Your changes are saved.
